Sylvania Fall Festival
A longstanding Sylvania tradition, the Sylvania Fall Festival returns this year on Sunday, October 21st, 2018! Several dozen food, craft, informational and other vendor booths will line Main Street, Tree City’s historical throughway. Everybody’s perennial favorite, the fall festival parade, will energize the town from Monroe to Main Street. Catch a stage performance at the corner of Main and Maplewood, explore Sylvania Historical Village and celebrate community when you join us for the 33rd Annual Sylvania Fall Festival!

Pumpkin Carving Contest: Only 5 entries available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please call the chamber office at 419-882-2135 to register. Entry fee $10. We will provide the pumpkin; you must provide all necessary tools and gloves. You may bring a template of your design, but you may not tape it to the pumpkin to trace. Registration opens September 24th. 2018 Pumpkin Carving Rules and Registration and Pumpkin Carving Waiver must be completed and returned with payment at time of entry.
Dino Dash: Join us for the Inaugural Dino Dash at the 33rd Annual Sylvania Fall Festival! Do you have a Dino costume sitting around with nothing to do? Put it to use and join us for our Inaugural Dino Dash at the Sylvania Fall Festival! Dino’s will run from Monroe to Maplewood on Main Street, before the Fall Festival Parade! 3rd Annual Pie Contest Sunday, October 21st, 2018
We invite all pie bakers to submit their best homemade pies for our Fall Festival Pie Contest. All pies must be completely from scratch (no store-bought crusts or fillings and no pies that require refrigeration such as cream or custard pies). Each pie will be judged by local celebrity judges Sylvania Schools Superintendent Dr. Adam Fineske, Lourdes University Terry Fetter, and Sylvania’s “Pie Lady” Emmy Jakes, and prizes given in adult and youth (ages 6 – 16) categories. All pies must be dropped off at the Sylvania Historical Village on Sunday October 22 between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM.
